Safety Laminate
Our goal is simple “Protect and Secure”, we provide products
that we use ourselves.
During the last 15 years, governments and leaders worldwide have had to face the reality of growing threats to physical security. Incidents such as the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City and The World Trade Center bombing in New York City have provided vivid examples of how vulnerable our physical security can be.
According to studies, in an attack using explosives in an urban area, over 80% of all secondary blast injuries are caused by flying glass. By strengthening building glazing systems, Safety Laminates remove one of the most potent weapons in the arsenal of terrorists.
In 2011, as civil unrest broke out around the world as a result of global economic uncertainty, armed homeowners and business owners with the strongest window security laminate in the world as a means of protecting their property and families.
We supply a superior line of Safety and Security laminates, not window film.
With extensive testing against Australian Standard guidelines, we provide laminate to protect from Intruder threats through to Ballistic Protection.
Our Technology is suitable for a wide range of applications with our focus on:
• Intruder Resistance
• Home invasion, small business burglary, major infrastructure defence
• Personal Safety
• Environmental effects, vehicular protection, personnel security
• Ballistic Threats
• Vehicle borne & Building safeguarding
These requirements need to be balanced against:
• Construction and life-cycle costs
• Architectural design
• Threat risk analysis
Our Laminate can offer the following levels of protection:
1: Smash and grab protection
2: Ballistics level –from 9mm to high velocity calibre protection
Ballistic Products
We do not pretend that our products are bullet, bomb or break-in proof. There is no such safety film or security laminate on the market. On its own, our laminate is inert. However, once the Security Laminate is applied to glass, the composite of the two materials work in tandem to resist, repel and absorb the kinetic forces involved with violent attacks.
Our products provide added protection against the effect of bullets, bombs and break-in entry attempts. Independent third-party testing achieving a UL-752 & AS/NZS2343:97 rating has established that our products are capable of resisting bullets.
